Significant Factor(s):

Well we were going to go in because it was like 1:30am and we both had church in the morning. The thing was, we had caught like 60 other fish and not one over 7 1/2 so we just new that sooner or later we were going to hit a big one. Persistence..... You can catch tropy bass consistenly on a 4 inch worm with Persistence.

The Story:

Well it was really quick actually. Maybe 15 seconds. I hooked her and she imediately pulled drag. She wrapped me around the stump and I got my friend Rick to net her quickly. I new it was a nice fish but we didnt have time to get a light till we got her in the boat and she really surprised us both. She ripped my line all to crap and it broke in the hustle and bustle of the netting so my friend Rick had to hold her in the death grip in the water while I got the tape and the scale. She swam away and we were on a high till we left at 3 am. It was hard getting up for church!
