Significant Factor(s):

Changing weather and presentation. I caught the big fish and on the next cast caught a Spotted Bass close to 5 lbs on the same structure.

The Story:

Heading into cove to get out of the thunderstorm. I always fish this long, rocky point, with brush in about 10-12 feet. Made several casts and the fish bit. Fought hard, netted it, weighed it on the scale and released it. I made another cast and caught the spot noted above. Released it and headed it--getting too dangerous.
