Significant Factor(s):

I let the floating minnow sit on the water and fish came up and inhaled it.

The Story:

Drag was fairly tight,though he was stripping line. Canoe was pulled 50 feet. Landed fish with net. It was tired by then. Not much resistance once in boat. I weighed it on my Berkley digital scales and released it.
