Significant Factor(s):

Tied on the rattle trap, I catch fish on this lure all the time. Once caught an 11 pounder on the same type of rattle trap.

The Story:

I was on the bridge casting about two feet off the bank and draging the rattle trap along the shore. The fish hit it like a ton of bricks and when I was reeling it in, the reel broke away from the rod and went up to the first eye. I pulled the reel back down and held it on the pole and the fight lasted for about ten minutes. I then climbed down the bank and grabbed the fish in the lip and landed it. I called Chuck from across the pond and he took pictures and weighed the fish. It was the biggest fish I have landed out of THE LAB! I think I had hooked this one before but I lost it when it shook the rattle trap out of its mouth.
