I worked the lure slowly and when the Bass hit I let him have it a few seconds before setting the hook.

The Story:

It was dark out and I had been fishing for about five minutes. I was fishing top water over some pads and wood when the Bass smashed the Lure. I waited for the fish to get the lure down and set the hook. The Bass then dove down and I had to pull hom through the pads. I fought the Bass for about ten minutes.
